What is LinkedIn’s Open to Work?

The Open to Work badge on LinkedIn is a prominent notice on your profile, indicating that you are looking for jobs that interest you.

The alert helps not only you who want to find new opportunities but also recruiters and other professionals in the social network. And you still have the option to share this feature only with companies and recruiters, avoiding exposing yourself to all contacts.

Is the LinkedIn Open to Work badge paid?

Not. The feature is free for all LinkedIn users and a LinkedIn Premium membership is not required.

The Open to Work badge is gone from my profile. What happened?

LinkedIn algorithms can identify whether you are in contact with recruiters. If the platform notices that you have stopped responding to messages from these professionals, LinkedIn will then send you an email to confirm that you are still looking for jobs.

If no confirmation is received, the Open to Work badge is removed from the profile. You can manually enable the feature again if it was removed by mistake.
